October 3, 2001 Dear Friends and Relatives, This is a generic letter so, pasensya na. The MSU-Sining Kambayoka had its first taste of international festival at Gwacheon City, Korea. It was an experience worth remembering since it was our first. We performed Pilandok or Mga Kwentong Maranao to thousands of Korean audience and some foreigners on September 21, 22, 23. The audience loved our shows, especially the children. Koreans, the ones we performed at were very receptive. Maayo na lang that even if they do not understand teh language used, they stayed on and finished the show. After our performances, daghan kaayong mga bata nga moduol ug magpahulagway. Feeling artista once again! There were 19 of us who went there. Thirteen SK, 2 guests performers and the rest are technical persons from CCP and NCCA. OK baya kaayo kaya lang, for me medyo mahirap na. Kay medyo lisod na motindog ug ahat esp sa chorus line. I played Potre and got to dance 4 dances! Hay dancing queen na ko karon. Si Ate Betty ang Busaon, Enyi is Bago-a-raga and Princess. Insik is one of the tonongs with 2 other young SK's. Yes, there were only six females in teh performing group, kaya, multiple roles. Wala jud tanga-tanga. Si Eustess and Pilandok and the rest of the cast, dili na siguro ninyo kaila. Si Sunnie ang Artistic Director. So, we are going to LA this December. Sana it will push trhough. Many are interested to join but we have to set a deadline otherwise we wont be scheduled for an interview earlier. I'll just update you kung unsa na ang mahitabo. Guys, sorry kaayo about what happened in New York and all. Dili pud mi kapadala ug email kay alam nyo naman dito sa MSU. Now we have network, tomorrow waz na pud. Hope everything is fine with you. Just take extra care. Kami dire banat usa ug trabaho kay daghan na mig absent. Till here and regards to all. We'll all pray for world peace. Love, Cecile |
